What makes her career particularly interesting is its variety. Rather than being identified with only one television role, Godfrey has moved between live theater, scripted television, advertising, voice performance, writing, and video games.
That versatility is also why her name continues to appear in searches connected to both Law & Order and Grand Theft Auto.

Education
Godfrey received a full theatrical scholarship to the University of Houston, where she studied theater and worked under respected teachers Cecil Pickett and Dr. Sidney Berger, according to her professional biography.

IMDb credits her with multiple roles on the series, including Detective Agnes Farley, Detective Valerie Pasche, and Detective Mattes across episodes released between 2002 and 2011.
Her recurring involvement in a long-running franchise gave her an opportunity to demonstrate the kind of character-driven acting that had already been developed through her theater background.
Traci Godfrey on As the World Turns

Her official biography specifically identifies the role among her long-time recurring television credits.
Traci Godfrey and The Sopranos
Godfrey appeared in The Sopranos, another major television production associated with her career.
IMDb credits her as Edwina Fowley in a 2001 episode.
Although it was not her only television appearance, the credit is notable because The Sopranos remains one of the most influential American television dramas of its era.
Traci Godfrey in Inventing Anna
A newer generation of viewers may recognize Godfrey from Netflix’s Inventing Anna.
IMDb credits her as Jodi in the 2022 limited series.
Her appearance illustrates how her career continued decades after her early television work rather than being limited to the productions that initially made her recognizable.
Traci Godfrey GTA Connection
For many gamers, the most interesting part of this biography is undoubtedly Traci Godfrey’s connection to Grand Theft Auto.
Godfrey provided the voice for Ashley Butler, a supporting character connected to Johnny Klebitz and The Lost motorcycle gang.
She performed the character in:
- Grand Theft Auto IV — 2008
- Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and Damned — 2009
- Grand Theft Auto V — 2013
GTA references and IMDb both credit Godfrey as Ashley Butler’s performer.
Who Is Ashley Butler in GTA?
Ashley Butler is a fictional character in the Grand Theft Auto universe. She is particularly important in The Lost and Damned, where her turbulent relationship with Johnny Klebitz becomes part of the story.
She later appears in Grand Theft Auto V. GTA character references identify Traci Godfrey as the performer behind Ashley.
It is important to distinguish the actress from the character: Traci Godfrey is a real American actress, while Ashley Butler is a fictional GTA character.
That distinction matters because searches for “Traci Godfrey GTA” sometimes lead readers to information about Ashley’s fictional biography rather than Godfrey’s real life.
Traci Godfrey Movies and TV Shows
Godfrey’s screen résumé includes television, video games, and other screen projects rather than a filmography dominated by theatrical movies.
Some notable credits include:
| Year | Production | Role |
|---|---|---|
| 2001 | The Sopranos | Edwina Fowley |
| 2001 | Law & Order | Ms. Pistone |

Traci Godfrey as a Playwright
Acting is only one part of Godfrey’s professional identity.
She has also written plays and screenplays. Her official website lists screenwriting credits including Hotter Than Georgia Asphalt, The Pink Perfection, Jamboni Macaroni, and Spitting Image.
Her stage work includes Miles to Go Before I Sleep and the award-winning Sweet Texas Reckoning.
Sweet Texas Reckoning has been produced by multiple theater organizations. Next Stage Press describes the play as a drama centered on family relationships and difficult questions involving race, sexuality, biology, and prejudice.
Panndora Productions also lists the play as a 2016 production written by Godfrey.
This writing career provides an important perspective on Godfrey’s work. She is not simply a performer interpreting somebody else’s material; she has also created stories and characters herself.
Traci Godfrey Husband and Son
Traci Godfrey married Munna Songe Godfrey in 2004.
A published opinion from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit confirms that Munna Godfrey married Traci Godfrey in 2004 and that they have one biological son and four stepchildren.
The couple has generally maintained a relatively private family life, and detailed information about their son is not widely documented through mainstream entertainment sources.
For that reason, readers should be cautious about websites that publish highly specific personal information without a credible source.
Traci Godfrey Parents and Family
Some online biographies identify Nikolai Godfrey and Mrs. Godfrey as Traci’s parents. However, her official professional biography does not provide extensive information about her parents or siblings.
Because independently verifiable biographical documentation is limited, it is better to treat detailed claims about her parents and wider family as unconfirmed unless supported by a primary source.
What is well documented is her Houston upbringing and her early involvement with theater, which ultimately led her toward professional performance.
Traci Godfrey Net Worth
Traci Godfrey’s net worth is often reported online at approximately $1 million.
However, there is no reliable public financial statement from Godfrey confirming this figure. Actors’ earnings can come from many sources, including television, theater, commercials, voice-over work, residuals, writing, and other professional activities.
Therefore, the $1 million figure should be regarded as an estimate rather than a verified net worth.
Her decades-long career and extensive commercial voice-over résumé demonstrate a substantial professional body of work. Her official site says she has voiced hundreds of television and radio commercials and promotional projects for major brands and networks.
Traci Godfrey Twitter/X and Social Media
The social-media information associated with Godfrey should also be approached carefully because multiple people share her name online.
The handle @traciinc has been reported as her Twitter/X account. However, readers should verify the account’s identity before assuming that every social profile carrying her name belongs to the actress.
Her official professional website remains the strongest starting point for confirming her career-related information.
